In order to keep the pressure up I sent following email to Michael O'Brien with a copy to Gary Liddle:

Dear Mr O'Brien,

As agreed at our meeting on Friday 23/11 at Basil Street, I am following up to inform you of any activity by VicRoads concerning the increased noise from the freeway noise barrier upgrade. So far we have heard nothing from them regarding our complaints. In fact, their inactivity makes us feel that they are ignoring our concerns and by doing so are treating us with contempt. Many signed letters of complaint have been sent to them and as yet they have not even done us the courtesy of an acknowledgement, let alone some activity to show they are remedying the situation.

The local residents are angry about the noise and frustrated with VicRoads lack of action. Surely VicRoads has a responsibility to listen to the concerns of the community and act on them, especially when their actions have caused the problem in the first place.

I trust that with your continuing support we can get this matter resolved quickly.

Yours sincerely

Chris Babarczy
